We are thrilled to share that several of our Glory to God Christian Church Women’s Ministry Leaders recently attended the EFCA Great Lakes District’s GLD Women Leaders Entrusted Conference. It was a weekend dedicated to pouring back into those who pour so much into others, and our team returned with full hearts and fresh perspectives.
A Featured Workshop with First Lady Toni Morgan
One of the highlights of the conference was a workshop led by our very own First Lady, Toni Morgan. Titled “Faith, Family, and Work – Did God Design Us to Be Superwomen?”, the session dove deep into the realities of modern womanhood and leadership.
In a world that often demands women “do it all,” Toni challenged the “Superwoman” narrative with biblical truth. The workshop explored essential themes for every woman in leadership:
- Managing Burnout: Recognizing when our tanks are empty.
- Compassion Fatigue: Learning how to care for others without losing ourselves.
- Healthy Boundaries: Establishing the “holy no” to protect our peace and our families.
- The Balancing Act: Honoring our professional calling and ministry leadership while loving our husbands and families well.
“God didn’t design us to be superheroes; He designed us to be daughters who depend on His strength.”

Empowering Our Leaders
At Glory to God, we believe that for our ministry to thrive, our leaders must be spiritually and emotionally healthy. Attending the Entrusted Conference provided our team with the opportunity to:
- Connect with other women leaders across the Great Lakes District.
- Refine their leadership skills to better serve our congregation.
- Rest in the presence of God away from the busyness of daily ministry tasks.

What’s Next for GTGCC Women?
The insights gained from this conference aren’t just for those who attended! Our leaders are excited to bring these lessons back to our community. Keep an eye out for upcoming women’s events where we will continue the conversation on how to balance our many roles without losing our joy.
We are so proud of our leadership team for their commitment to growth and for First Lady Toni for her impactful teaching!
